G Children are swimming in an ocean not-so-blue D All I can dream about is smiling at you C D G All I can think about is you said we were through Everything here reminds me of the day When I first met you, in that bar out of the way For once in my life I didn't have a word to say C D And all of a sudden it came to me G C Why should I care I'm finally free D G Tomorrow I can be... in Tahiti I sold all I owned and took the first plane For the first time in years I actually feel sane Said my goodbyes to the life in the fast lane I live on the beach in a one-bedroom shack If I know anything, I know I'll never go back If I know anything, I know you didn't know jack And all of a sudden it comes to me Why should I care I'm finally free Today I can be me... in Tahiti Yeah all of a sudden it comes to me Why should I care I'm finally free Today I can be me... in Tahiti Finally I can be me… in Tahiti.

WELCOME TO FREEDOM C The kids are gone sleddin' G The snow is thick on the ground Am The sea is retreating F G The tide will soon be down. A few birds are flyin On their way south it seems I'd be lying if I ain't there in my dreams F The sun on my skin G & a glass with no bottom C F G A dribble of scotch on my chin Welcome to freedom The dogs are chasing Squirrels in the yard And I keep replacing My memories that are scarred I long for the day When, my toes in the sand All I do is lay On a beach in the islands F The sun on my skin G & a glass with no bottom C F G A dribble of scotch on my chin Welcome to freedom The day has arrived We're sailing off today I feel revived Away from the world of gray Goodbye stress and pressure Goodbye boss I need the refresher You won't be a big loss

Ah, love 02:55
The snow outside makes the world like a padded cell Life is muffled I can't hear it so well When the sun shines I hear clear as a bell I can finally hear your love... yell The rain outside makes the world like a swimming pool I wanna put the drops back in the clouds cuz I'm a fool You laugh and you say that I'm dumb as a mule But you love me cuz I live to break the rule The wind outside makes the world sideways Or maybe it's just one of those days When all can see the errors of my ways But I'm mostly blinded by the way she sways The sun outside makes the world anew Today let's live just for me and you Tall glasses of rum, we'll have a few Let's make that kinda love that'll always be true

I’m butt naked on the porch Fiddlin’ with my tiki torch I’m working on a tan The sun’s my biggest fan I’m butt naked on the porch I’m butt naked on the sand A cold brewski in my hand I’m enjoying the breeze And smoking a few trees I’m butt naked on the sand The neighbors don’t mind If they see my behind It ain’t gonna make ‘em blind The neighbors don’t care If they see my derriere Out there… in the open air I’m butt naked on a boat Sippin’ on a root beer float The fish are not scared Or visually impaired ‘Cause I’m butt naked on a boat I’m butt naked everywhere Life is better lived bare Not a care in the world Just me and my girl we’re butt naked everywhere CHORUS

Intentions 03:19
C Am I live in the shade of a mango tree F G I live in the shade, happy and free C Am The air around me smells like fruit F G And mother nature's playing her flute F G But don't worry girl, you can be sure C Am None of my intentions are pure F G No ring in my pocket, no his-and-her locket C Am I'm not the answer or the cure F G C I won't be giving you the grand tour My world is living in your arms You could say I fell for your charms We're so happy it's a crime But I don't mind doing time CHORUS Am You look in my eyes F You say you see lies C G You think my heart's grown fonder Am You see through my words F You say we're love birds C G How could it be you wonder CHORUS

It’s a great day for crying But my tears are too proud So it’s a great day for drinking Until I get good & plowed It’s a great day for drinking Out loud It's a great day for hiding Feelings disallowed It's a great day for gliding Through life, disavowed It’s a great day for drinking Out loud So pour me a shot And pour it a friend Believe it or not I can still feel your hand And the ring that I bought Cause I’ll love you till the end Somebody pour me a shot And pour it a friend It’s a great day for thinking But my brain’s like a cloud So it’s a great day for drinking Alone in a crowd It’s a great day for drinking out loud BREAK - CHORUS

I fought the lazy, but the lazy won I thought of the things that wouldn’t get done I sat back down on my beach chair And thought… see if I care The fridge is empty, has been for days I’m not all that hungry, anyways If I can find someone w/ a beer to spare Oh, sweet victory! See if I care They say it can’t last They say I gotta change fast I could still be a millionaire Well, sorry fellas, but… see if I care Sittin’ in the sun, feelin’ no pain I don’t remember the feel of the rain I don’t have enough dough for a bus fair But… see if I care The house is a mess, I’m down to one shirt I could clean up – but I’d rather flirt On second thought I don’t have pants to wear So… oh well, see if I care (Am) I like it here in the sun (F) I’m having tons of fun (G) Come try with me if you dare We’ll see… if you care

about

This album is a collection of songs I wrote at different times in my life, sometimes when I was happy and sometimes when days were dark and nights darker still. While the songs are not necessarily 100% autobiographic, each of them inherently includes a part of me.
I enjoy playing these songs in a live setting, and that's how they were recorded: one voice, one guitar, at the same time, in one night.
Oh, and a bottle of wine was involved, too, as I recall...
